Teachers at PS 349
This is my first year teaching at PS 349 and I will be teaching fourth grade. As a substitute teacher for the DOE I worked with grades K-6 in both general education and special education. For the past three years, I taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th grade in Richmond Hill, Queens. I am excited to join the PS 349 family!
This is my first year teaching at PS 349. Previously, I have taught as a first grade general education teacher and a special education teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I am excited to immerse myself into our diverse community of teachers and learners and I look forward to seeing the academic, social and emotional growth our students will make this year.
This is my second year at PS349. Prior to working at PS349 I taught in Brooklyn for over 10 years in grades K-4 in both general and special education settings. I enjoy working in early childhood and I am very excited to teach Kindergarten this year!
I am the Magnet Coordinator here at PS 349Q. I have been with PS 349 since it's doors opened in 2015. This is my home away from home. I began teaching Kindergarten Special Class and then moved to teaching Pre-Kindergarten for two years! I hold a teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) as well as a certification in Special Education (Grades 1-6). The educational experiences that our student receive while in our school are priceless. I enjoy watching our children learn and flourish each day! This is my third year teaching at PS 349. I previously taught 5th grade in Brooklyn, NY, as well as 2nd and 4th grades in Freeport, NY. I am also a Lighthouse Coordinator for PS 349 and help to bring The Leader in Me to life within our school and community. My favorite part of PS 349 is how staff, students, and parents synergize to help support our future leaders so they can blossom socially, emotionally, academically, and personally!
This is my second year teaching at PS 349. Prior to this year, I have worked in a number of teaching and school support roles from guidance counselor to ENL teacher. I am originally from Dallas and moved to New York City in 2011. I am most excited to be a part of the PS 349 family because of the school's focus on developing the whole child through the Leader in Me initiative.
This is my 3rd year teaching at PS 349. Previously, I substituted grades K-6 on Long Island. My favorite part about PS 349 is watching all of the students grow in our school community!
This will be my first year teaching at P.S. 349! I became interested in this school community after I saw an article about the school's STEAM projects in a newspaper. P.S. 349 has a lot to offer the students and community and I'm excited to join the team. I've taught 1st-5th grades over the past 7 years and am excited to teach Kindergarten this year!
This is my second year working at P.S. 349. Last year, I was our technology teacher. In previous years, I have taught Kindergarten and second grade as a Special Education teacher. Something interesting about me is, I grew up in Northern California and I love to dance!
This is my 3rd year teaching at PS 349. Previously I taught 3rd grade 12:1+1, and I also taught kindergarten, second and third grades at schools throughout New York City. My favorite thing about teaching at PS 349 is watching students get excited about learning.
This is my first year as a 4th grade teacher at PS 349. I am going into my 13th year of teaching and have taught all different grades. I am very passionate about learning and creating new experiences. I am excited to guide the students of PS 349 through an unforgettable journey!
I am excited to continue as part of the first grade instructional team at Public School 349, The Queens School for Leadership and Excellence! Prior to coming to P.S. 349, I have taught kindergarten, Pre-K as well as second grade. I am a certified teacher and have worked in the education field since 1996. I believe that respectful, caring bonds with children and their families are the vital foundation for a wonderful school experience. Children need to feel successful in order to move forward in their learning. That is why I feel it my responsibility to provide an environment that is a safe, supportive and welcoming. It needs to provide children with a variety of opportunities to try out new ideas and be challenged with new experiences that engage budding readers, writers, scientists, mathematicians and leaders.
This will be my sixth year teaching, and my third year at P.S. 349. Prior to joining the team at P.S. 349, I have taught Pre-Kindergarten and Special Education. I hold certifications in Elementary and Special Education from Molloy College and Literacy from St. Joseph’s College. Teaching young learners is an absolute passion of mine! My mission is to instill a love of learning in my students and help them to grow into life-long learners. I am thrilled to be working with you and your child this upcoming year!
I could not be more excited to begin my journey at PS 349 and I am looking forward to teaching technology! Previously, I have taught in the Bronx for five years teaching 4th& 5th grade. I am most excited to be part of the PS 349 family because of our shared vision to inspire students to become life-long learners and to take part in the Leader in Me initiative. I am looking forward to making each of our days count as we learn, share and thrive together.
This is my second year teaching and I am thrilled to be part of the P.S. 349 family. I earned my Bachelor's in Linguistics and my Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I love to learn about languages and cultures from all over the world. My favorite color is blue and my favorite food is hot wings. I love to try new foods, especially if it's spicy. I love to spend time with my friends and family. I admire that here at P.S. 349, we have leaders from all over the world that speak many different languages. They have so much to offer to our classrooms. We all have the strength and beauty to become influential parts of our community!
I am so excited to begin my first year at PS 349. This will be my 8th year of teaching. For the first four years of my teaching career, I taught Pre-K in Suffolk County on Long Island. I then ventured to Brooklyn and the Bronx and taught Kindergarten ICT for 4 years. I am passionate about early childhood education and special education and love creating long-lasting relationships with my students and their families. I enjoy bringing out my creativity in the classroom as well. I also recently became a mom. My son, Jackson, will be turning 1 this August. Looking forward to a great year ahead!
This is my second year at PS 349 as a Universal Literacy Reading Coach, supporting K-2 teachers. I have been a teacher for almost 15 years, working in all elementary grades. I am loving the positive energy here at PS 349 and am excited to work with our school community!
In 2008, I graduated from The City College of New York with a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology. Two years later, I received an M.S. Ed. in Childhood Education from the same university. After graduation, I began my journey as an educator. In these past eight years, I have taught various grades in both public and private elementary schools in New York City. Not only have I had experience teaching multiple grades, but I have also experienced teaching all types of learners. I realized that working as a teacher in New York City, I would be working with many students who are learning English as a new language. Therefore, to support my students even further, I attended St. John’s University to attain an additional certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Teaching has been an absolute joy, and it has become a significant part of who I am. When I am not teaching, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling, and learning about different cultures. I wish to continue to help my students become lifelong learners.
I am excited to begin my first year teaching at P.S. 349. I have been a teacher for 7 years in Brooklyn. I've taught 2nd grade, 1st grade and 5th grade. My past 4 years I have been an ENL teacher teaching English Language Learners. I am excited to work with the Leader in Me program and experience all the fun learning in our STEAM school.
This is my third year teaching at P.S. 349 as a Science teacher. I have the opportunity to work with majority of the student body, teaching them about Science and Engineering practices. Previously, I taught Kindergarten and First Grade for 8 years in Brooklyn. Every day is a new adventure with our scientists as we make new discoveries and learn about real world problems.
I am excited to join the PS 349 community this year as the 4th grade ICT teacher! In the past, have taught at a gifted and talented school in Manhattan as an elementary and middle school SETSS and ICT teacher. I have also taught 5th grade ICT last year in Queens and worked as a volunteer teacher abroad in Greece. I look forward to working at PS 349 and being a part of the founding 4th grade class.
This is my second year teaching at PS 349. Previously, I taught 7th, 6th, and 5th grade Math in Brownsville, Brooklyn. I have also taught as a second grade Teacher's Assistant in Oceanside.
This is my second year teaching at PS 349. Previously, I have taught grades pre-k thru sixth on Long Island. I have also taught grades K-5 for 13 years in Brooklyn. My favorite part about PS 349 is watching the students be proactive in their learning and seeing their unique personalities shine in everything they do.
Prior to teaching as PS 349, I was a special education teacher for 7 years across Long Island and NYC schools. Having taught in many diverse communities prior to PS 349, the transition in my professional career has been seamless. As a founding teacher of PS 349, I began as a music teacher using our Music and the Brain Program to teach our students keyboarding skills and music theory. Throughout the course of the years, we have performed at the 10th annual UFT Conference, holiday and end of the year performances, which have highlighted our collaborative work in music and dance. Each year I look forward to working with and watching our students grow as musical leaders.
This will be my fourth year teaching, and my third year teaching Kindergarten at P.S. 349. Prior to teaching at P.S. 349, I had taught in a Pre-K program on Long Island. I hold certifications in Elementary, Special Education, and Severe and Multiple Disabilities from Hofstra University. My favorite part about teaching at PS. 349 is watching my students grow into independent, life-long learners! I am so excited to back at PS. 349 and to have another amazing year with my students and their families!

I am a Special Education Teacher at PS349! I graduated from Hunter College with a major in Sociology and from Adelphi University with a concentration in Education.
This is my third year teaching at PS 349. Previously, I taught 3rd grade, and I also I taught 1st and 4th grades in the Bronx. I have also taught English abroad in Ecuador! I have the honor of being part of the founding faculty at PS 349. I am in my fifth year teaching Kindergarten here at The Magnet School of Leadership and Innovation through STEAM! It has been such a pleasure teaching our young kindergarteners and watching our young leaders grow every year.
This is my 3rd year teaching science at PS 349. One of the many things I love about my job is I have the opportunity to work with children in all of the grades. I really enjoy watching our students grow as scientists and leaders!

My favorite part about PS 349 is watching students Find Their Voice to become confident speakers and thinkers!
This is my 2nd year teaching at PS 349. I've taught Pre-K through 2nd grade in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. I've worked in public, private and charter schools in New York for the past 17 years. My favorite part about PS 349 is watching the students become independent, curious and creative learners!
This is my 3rd year teaching at P.S 349 as a first grade teacher! I have always believed that education is the key to all success, and in order to provide students with ample opportunities, it is important to provide them with the richest learning experiences. At P.S. 349, we strive for greatness and leadership, and it is always so rewarding to watch these kids grow to be amazing in anything they do. I hope to only contribute positive, engaging, and motivational experiences to the students I get the pleasure of having in my class. I want to be able to instill a passion for knowledge and learning for all students!
This is my 4th year teaching at PS 349. Previously, I taught first and second grades in Manhattan. I enjoy traveling and bringing back my experiences to the classroom for my students! My favorite part about PS 349 is coming in everyday to teach our future leaders!
This is my 4th year teaching Pre-Kindergarten at PS. 349. Previously I taught in Jackson Heights and also was a Director of Early Childhood Programs. I find Pre-Kindergarten to be a very important and critical time in students' educational careers. I feel that Pre-Kindergarten is an essential piece in their education because it sets a path for learning and gives students a head start. I enjoy this grade because each year is never the same and the personal and academic growth I am able to observe is tremendous!
